ABOUT

After nearly two successful years, the EU-funded project INTERFACER came to an end in March 2023. At the future of making we shared our visions on how to transform Hamburg to a locally productive and globally connected city, and discussed the design challenges for a desirable and sustainable future. We connected with other local and global changemakers and discussed how Fab City Hamburg, the INTERFACER project and circular design can pave the way to a circular economy. The foundation has been laid for global connections, the digitization of local production and the development of a unique maker scene in Hamburg in times of global challenges, such as environmental and social consequences of climate change. Together we launched the future of making. Many thanks to all speakers, makers, innovators, moderators and the whole Fab City Hamburg community for creating such a vibrant environment following the mission to produce locally and connect globally.
